Ronald Gomes, 64
Ronald “Red” Gomes, 64, of Wareham passed away on July 1.
Ronald was the son of the late Peter Joseph Gomes and Christine Andrews of Oakdale. He was a graduate of Wareham High School and New England School of Barbering. Ronald is survived by his former wife Kay Gomes of Wareham and five children: David Gomes of Carver, Deana Davis of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Brandy Medina of Hanover, Taylor Gomes of Wareham and Brandon McAloney of New Bedford. He also leaves behind several grandchildren: Dana, Kaylee, Darren, Darius, Damarviey, Daron, Markeyia, Marcus, Kingston, Kairo, Nilton Jr. and two great granddaughters, Lauren and Amauri.
He was the beloved brother of the deceased Manuel Gomes, David Johnson, Carl Gomes, Eugene Gomes and surviving siblings, Roger Gomes, Peter Gomes, Wayne “Morris” Gomes, Phillip Gomes, Donald Gomes, Antone Gomes, Benjamin Gomes, Allan Gomes, Marc “Tiny” Silva, and Christine Andrews.
Ronald enjoyed cutting hair, playing pool, playing cards with friends and was an avid sports fan. He loved spending time with his friends, family, children and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday, July 11 at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High Street, Wareham at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at the Redman Hall, 758 Main St., Wareham, MA 02571 following graveside services.
