One lucky Rochester man won $1 million dollars on a scratch ticket he purchased at Vel’s Restaurant in West Wareham.

Christopher Park claimed his prize on Aug. 10, opting for the cash option, which is a one-time payment of 650,000 (before taxes).

Vel’s is a winner too. The restaurant will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.

According to lottery officials, Park said he plans to save his winnings.

Park is the 29th person to claim a $1 million prize in the lottery’s “40th Anniversary Millions” game.
