In Loving Memory of Hillary Andrea Gargiulo
July 8, 1958 - July 26, 2025

Hillary Andrea Gargiulo of East Wareham, MA passed away peacefully in her home on July 26, 2025, at the age of 67.

Born in Milford, MA, Hillary was a 1976 graduate Franklin High School. In 1999, she made East Wareham her home - a place she filled with laughter, love and countless treasured memories.

For 50 years, Hillary shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Gerald Gargiulo including 41 years of devoted marriage together. They built a strong family foundation centered around love, humor, and unwavering support.

She was the daughter of the late Walter and Martha (O'Callaghan) Hanson and sister of the late Andrew Hanson and Eric Hanson. Also survived by her brother Mark Hanson of Franklin, MA.

Hillary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her warmth and spirited energy lit up every room, especially on game nights - where rules might have needed explaining 5,000 times, but laughter never needed translation.

She was an active member of the Wareham New Bedford Elks, #73.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Daniel Gargiulo and his wife Alicia of Plymouth and Monica McDonough and her husband Sean of Bourne. Each of whom brought her endless pride and joy. She also adored her grandchildren, Zach Lucero and his wife Carlin, Layla Caccialini, Kaelyn McDonough, J.J. Gargiulo, Ellison McDonough and Daniel Gargiulo.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. Family and friends and all whose lives were touched by Hillary are welcome to gather to share stories and celebrate the life of a woman whose love knew no bounds.
