Wareham Free Library now offers help searching for, applying to jobs

Oct 3, 2016

The Wareham Free Library and the Spinney Library now officially offers help to patrons looking for and applying for jobs. Anyone who would like help looking for job openings online or filling out an application can call or stop by. This service is a new extension of the Reading Partners Program. The Reading Partners desk at the main library will be manned by Susan Noonan from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Susan Cummings-Ripley will help with jobs searches and applications at the Spinney Branch on Wednesdays from noon to 2:00 p.m.

Other times will be available by appointment. These hours will be expanded once CEDA funds become available sometime in November.

In addition to assistance with job applications, help is offered with any application or form. Those interested in being tutored in English for speakers of other languages, computer basics, or reading and writing skills can call, email, or drop by and ask: 508-295- 2343 x1018 or readingpartners@gmail.com. Help is also offered for the high school equivalency test, the military entrance exam, and other tests. Volunteer tutors are welcomed.

Funds for Reading Partners are paid for by the TD Charitable Foundation and a Community Development Block Grant administered by CEDA (Community and Economic Development Authority).
