The Wareham Fire Department will host its annual open house on Sunday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the 273 Main Street station.

The open house is aimed at teaching families fire safety and prevention practices.

It is held in conjunction with National Fire Safety Month. Participants will receive safety tips, learn how to plan escape routes, and learn how to craw safely through a smoke-filled room.
