Mark S. Fitzsimmons, 59, of Pine Hurst Beach Wareham passed away, after a long battle with cancer, on Nov. 3 at home with his

family by his side. Mark is survived by his loving wife, of 32 years, Debra (Collins) Fitzsimmons and daughters Jessica and Jamie Fitzsimmons and his granddaughter, Braylee, all of Wareham.

Born in Dorchester, he is the son of Dorothy (Enguanti) Baker and the late

Thomas Fitzsimmons. Growing up in Weymouth, Mark attended Weymouth Public Schools. He enjoyed spending the summers in Wareham, at Pine Hurst Beach, waterskiing in Wareham rivers.

In addition to his immediate family, Mark is also survived by his siblings, Paul Fitzsimmons of Maine, Robert Fitzsimmons of New Hampshire, and Lisa S.

Fitzsimmons of Massachusetts, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mark enjoyed the outdoors and was passionate about spending time with his family. His favorite days were spent with his wife, two daughters, and his faithful dog, Spencer, boating on the waters of Buzzards Bay or Plymouth Harbor.

When not on the boat, he could often be found tinkering around his home.

Mark, was a long time resident of Plymouth, where they raised their daughters in “Mahomet.”
