Police arrest Wareham man for armed robbery
Police arrested a 37-year-old Wareham man charged with robbing a Main Street gas station at knifepoint.
Nathan Andrade of 34 Cedar St. was arrested at his home just after 2 p.m. on Thursday following the execution of search warrant, according to police.
Andrade is accused of robbing the Speedway Gas Station of an unknown amount of cash at about 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Police said he wore a mask and wielded a knife during the robbery. No one was hurt.
A search of Andrade’s home uncovered evidence related to the robbery, including clothes, police said.
Andrade was booked at the Wareham Police Department and taken to Wareham District Court for arraignment. Andrade’s arraignment status is currently unknown as court had closed for the day after Wareham Week learned of the arrest.
Andrade is charged with armed robbery (knife) while masked.
