James Gamache, 64
James T. Gamache, 64, of East Wareham died Nov. 22 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Gayle I. (Douglas) Gamache.
Born in Middleboro, he was the son of the late James D. Gamache and Patricia L. (Gazzolo) Quigley. Jim was a skilled carpenter and builder in the area for many years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his family and friends, fishing, hunting, boating and various other motorsports.
Jim was a former coach for both Wareham Little League and Gateway Babe Ruth baseball. During the 1960s, he was a member of the Middleboro Sabres Drum and Bugle Corps where he played the French horn and contrabass.
Survivors include his wife, Gayle; his children, James T. Gamache, Jr. and his wife Allison of Dixfield, Maine, Tina M. Galvin and her husband Chip of Middleboro and Tracy E. Santiano and her husband Jamie of W. Wareham; his brothers, Thomas Gamache and Robert Quigley both of Middleboro; his step-children, Bonnie Finch of Carver, John Bartlett and Katy Carlson both of Plymouth, Doug Carlson of Lakeville and Zach Massa of Wareham. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his sister, the late Ellen Gamache.
His funeral service will be held on Tuesday Nov. 29 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
