Phyllis Renzi, 69

Phyllis C. (Mastropietro) Renzi, 69, of Wareham and Reunion, Florida, died Feb. 13 at Boston Medical Center. She was the wife of Ronald R. Renzi. They were married for 49 years.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Angela (D’Abate) Mastropietro. Phyllis graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and received her B.A. from Rhode Island College. She was a mental health counselor for Mt. Pleasant High School and Central High School in Providence for many years before retiring.

A previous resident of Rhode Island, Phyllis moved to Wareham five years ago, and wintered in Reunion, Florida. She was a member of the Wareham Garden Club and the Tobey Hospital Guild.

Survivors include her husband Ronald; two sons, Ronald R. Renzi, Jr. and wife Shelley of North Kingstown, Rhode Island and Christopher A. Renzi and wife Sheila of E. Greenwich, Rhode Island; two brothers, Bernard Mastropietro of Seekonk and Joseph Mastropietro of Greenville, Rhode Island; and six grandchildren, Christopher J., Victoria, Gabria, Zane, Talianna and Andylina Renzi.

Relatives and friends may visit on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham from 8 to 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
