Floyd Robbins, 77

Floyd C. “Caddy” Robbins, 77, died Feb. 20 at his home in Onset after a long illness. He was the husband of Mildred I. (Franklin) Robbins.

Born in Wareham, he was the son of the late Emery and Alice (Parker) Robbins. Mr. Robbins worked as a carpenter and was also a commercial fisherman. He also served as an auxiliary police officer for the Town of Wareham.

Besides his wife; he is survived by his children, Alan Robbins of Carver, Tami Robbins of Onset, Rhonda Gay of Wareham, John Robbins of Onset, Nick Testone of Onset and Floyd Robbins, Jr. of Sandwich; his brother, Carlton Robbins of North Dakota; his nieces and nephews, Donald Robbins, Jr., Kevin Robbins and Patty Robbins-Houser; his grandchildren, Kristy Demoranville, Jessica Demoranville, Billy Gay and Mindy Gay; and seven great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, Feb. 27 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Center Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
