Mar 17, 2011

The second annual Wareham Works - Wareham’s Community and Economic Summit - will be held on Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. at the Town Hall Auditorium, located at 54 Marion Road.

This year Wareham Works is highlighting Business to Business (B2B) Connections, which helps businesses succeed with support and resources.

Despite the downturn in the national economy, Wareham is well positioned to be at the forefront of business development.

Wareham is home to many businesses - big and small - located throughout the town and in its villages and home to the Wareham Crossing shopping plaza and the Wareham Industrial Park. Rosebrook Technology Park is nearing completion of its first phase of development consisting of medical offices affiliated with the Southcoast Health System.

The following representatives will be available to provide information and assistance: Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), Massachusetts Department of Transportation (DOUJ Route 6 & 28 Cranberry Highway Expansion), Community Economic Development Authority (CEDA), Massachusetts Office of Business Development (MOBD), Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, South Eastern Economic Development (SEED), and A.D. Makepeace Projects.

There will be a plethora of local eateries that offer a variety of catering and function-services for your business. Whether you need money or manpower, you'll be able to get information from local bankers and from the Wareham Career Center.

Wareham Village Association (WVA) and the Onset Bay Association (OBA) will be ready to offer assistance to businesses that are presently located in Wareham villages or locate here in the future.

Senator Marc R. Pacheco will be giving opening remarks.
