Public invited to 4th annual Business Expo on April 20

Apr 16, 2017

Launched four years ago, the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Expo has always had a dual mission, according to Marie Oliva, the group’s president.

“We wanted to do something that was community based, but also good for businesses at the same time, so it’s two fold,” said Oliva.

And on April 20, more than 40 vendors, representing assisted living facilities, banks, restaurants and more, will set up shop in the Rosebrook Event Center, 50 Rosebrook Place, from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Vendors will showcase their wares and services while visitors sample free hors d’oeuvres and earn chances to win raffle prizes.

Usually, the Expo is held closer to summer, but this year Oliva said the event will arrive early. Other changes designed to make it more engaging for participants are planned, too.

“A DJ will be announcing prizes all day, there will be a cash bar  – we want to emphasize that it’s a great networking opportunity, but a lot of fun too,” said Oliva. “People can come in, pick up a swag bag and see what area businesses have to offer.”
