For the 2017-2018 school year, Wareham students will start classes on Sept. 5 and get out for the summer on June 25, if five built-in snow days are used.

School Committee members unanimously approved the calendar on Wednesday night after the state released MCAS test dates and the addition of one extra teacher development day following recently approved contract negotiations.

Schools will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11 to observe Veterans Day, which falls on the next day. On Nov. 22, all schools will have a half day before Thanksgiving. Schools will be closed Dec. 22 and reopen Jan. 2 for winter vacation. For spring break, schools will be closed April 14 and reopen April 23.

Graduation day is scheduled for June 8 (rain date June 9.)

School Committee members unanimously approved the calendar with minimal discussion.
