Heavy rains Saturday morning closed a small section of Cranberry Highway in front of the former 99 Restaurant, causing traffic delays.

The National Weather Service placed southeastern Massachusetts under a Hazardous Weather Outlook until Saturday afternoon. The service reported that 1 to 2 inches of rain was possible, which “yields the potential for urban and poor drainage flood issues.”

That section of highway is prone to flooding and has already been closed several times this year due to heavy rain. It was reopened early Saturday afternoon.
