On July 22, Wareham Department of Natural Resources officials responded to an accident involving a single jet ski in the Wareham River.

Officials said the operator sustained a leg injury during the incident, which occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. Officers aboard Wareham Marine Unit 2 got the injured person on board, stabilized the victim and transported the person to Besse Park where Wareham EMS were waiting.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Massachusetts Environmental Police. Additional information is unavailable at this time.
