After being closed for swimming due to high bacteria levels, Little Harbor Beach is reopened for swimming as of Friday.

The Wareham Board of Health closed the beach for swimming on Thursday because of high levels of enterococci, a bacteria found in animal and human waste.

The re-sampling of the beach found that it is again safe for swimming.

Wareham beaches are tested weekly for bacteria in the summer.
