Wareham Middle School teacher retires after 33 years

Sep 7, 2017

A Wareham Middle School teacher said farewell after 33 years at Wednesday’s School Committee meeting where she was honored for being a “wholehearted advocate of every child.”

Maureen Reber, a special education teacher, was applauded by committee members and Wareham Middle School Principal Dr. Peter Steedman.

Steedman said he’s only known Reber for one year, but in that time witnessed how dedicated she is to the students.

“She’s made quite an impact,” said Steedman.

He then read statements from two Reber’s colleagues who praised her for working “tirelessly for the good of students.”
