Charges against White Pines stabbing suspect dropped

Apr 29, 2011

The Plymouth County grand jury Wednesday failed to indict a Wareham man charged in connection with two stabbing deaths at the White Pines Motel.

Twenty-year-old Richard Walling was charged with two counts of manslaughter in the deaths of Leonard Bolia and Ryan Aponte after the pair allegedly tried to rob him at the Cranberry Highway motel in January.

The grand jury’s decision means Walling will not be prosecuted in the case.

Walling pleaded 'not guilty' to the charges in Wareham District Court in January.
