Letter to the Editor:

On Tuesday night, at the Democratic Town Committee meeting, a veteran spoke about the Moving Wall that came to Wareham. The Wall was such a wonderful tribute to those young men and women who were sent to war. I had protested the war in the 1960s. I hated that so many lives were ending for no purpose that I could understand. When I visited The Wall my heart was breaking for those lost lives and for their families. My friend, the vet, said something so important: “Hate the war, but love the warrior.”

Such healing words.
