The Wareham Garden Club offered an opportunity to beautify the inside of Wareham homes on Saturday, selling plants and crafts to raise money for the club’s projects.

The club’s annual fall plant and bake sale at the Fearing Tavern raised money for scholarships and to fill Wareham with plants. Each year, the Wareham Garden Club offers a scholarship to a Wareham graduating senior and a college student from Wareham. The club is also responsible for caring for 13 gardens in Wareham.

People of all ages attended the sale to find the perfect succulent or dried flower arrangement for their home.

“We have a setup where people can learn how to make their own floral arrangements,” said Dianne Murphy, publicity chair of the garden club.

The crafts and floral arrangements sold were made by some of the 92 members of the club, which was founded in 1938. The next fundraiser for the club will be the Cranberry Christmas Faire on Dec. 2.

The Wareham Garden Club meets on the second Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Hall, 82 High St. in Wareham.
