Rachel's Challenge coming to Wareham High School on Oct. 3

Sep 29, 2017

Parents are invited to learn more about Rachel Scott and her message of kindness during a Rachel’s Challenge event on Oct. 3 set to take place in the Wareham High School auditorium.

Rachel’s Challenge is a nonprofit organization that works to reduce harassment, bullying and violence through presentations at schools and communities. Rachel Joy Scott was the first person killed in the Columbine High School shooting on April 20, 1999, and the nonprofit is based on the lasting impact she had on students and people in her community.

Community members are invited to attend the presentation, which starts at 7 p.m. The event is free and sponsored by the Scotty Monteiro Jr. Foundation. The foundation works to stop bullying and violence through education.
