Helen “Honey” A. (Krystofolski) Simpson, 84, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away Sept. 29 from a lifetime battle with a heart condition. She was born in West Wareham, daughter of the late Alcina and John Krystofolski.

She met and married her husband James R. Simpson and followed his Air Force career while raising three children and working various jobs to include King Soopers Bakery, Marway’s Cakes and a personal housekeeper.

She made many friends along the way and enjoyed her New York Yankees and New England Patriots.

She is survived by her husband, James R. Simpson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her son, James R. Simpson, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Colorado Springs, Coloraod; her daughters, Mary Gibbs of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Patty Simpson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandson, Miah Gibbs and his wife Jennifer of Las Vegas, Nevada; her brother, Robert Krystofolski and his wife Rosemary of Wareham.

Her funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham.

Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
