Jim Cormier Canal Walk organizers give thanks

Oct 2, 2017

To the Editor:

In the three years of hosting the Jim Cormier Canal Walk for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, we have partnered with the PF Foundation in bringing awareness of a disease, which has no cure, to Southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape Cod Region. We continue our collaboration each year with this national agency and have many to thank for the support and generosity we have received.

Each year attendance and donations have exceeded our goals and expectations, all proceeds go directly to PFF for patient care, caregiver support and research. Many have supported us in our endeavor to imagine a world without pulmonary fibrosis…our family, friends and members of the PF community.

Special thanks go out to our sponsors, Michael Couto, A.D. Makepeace Company, M&D Bait & Tackle, Seasonal Specialties Stores and Jeanne Rasch. Thank you to Matthew Bernat and Wareham Week for the article leading up to the event. This event could not take place without the assistance of Jonathan Dumais of the U.S. Corps of Engineers at the Cape Cod Canal.
