Charles Junkins, 68

Charles N. Junkins, 68, of Wareham formerly of Hyde Park, passed away after a short illness on Oct. 16 at Tufts New England Medical Center. Mr. Junkins was born in Boston, the son of the late Charles and Evelyn (LeClair) Junkins.

He attended Boston Public Schools and he was a U.S.M.C., Vietnam War veteran. Mr. Junkins attended East Coast Aero Tech and was an aircraft mechanic. He worked at Logan and Barnstable Airports for U.S. Air and New England Air. He also enjoyed building custom motorcycles.

He is survived by his loving companion Christine West of Buzzards Bay and his cousins Paul and Georgia Foudy of Plymouth and Anne Marie and Paul Adams of Hingham. He was the nephew of the late Edward and Anna (LeClair) Sherman formerly of Hyde Park and Whitman.

Funeral from the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center St. Wareham on Monday, Oct. 23, at 9:15 a.m. followed by his funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Saint Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 22, from 2 to 4 p.m. only at the funeral home.
