Police arrested a 45-year-old fugitive from Ohio charged with multiple counts of rape at the Wareham Wal-Mart on Oct. 24.

Vandalia Ohio Municipal Court had issued a warrant for John Dodd, who was charged with 10 counts of rape and 13 counts of gross sexual imposition against one juvenile victim.

According to police, Dodd, who has listed addresses in Ohio and Onset, was seen in the Wal-Mart parking lot at approximately 11:50 a.m.

After a brief search, detectives located then arrested Dodd per the Ohio warrant without incident. He was then taken Wareham District Court. Dodd is also charged with being a fugitive from justice.

The arrest ended an investigation by Wareham Police and the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.
