Three people involved in a two-car, head-on collision on Glen Charlie Road on Oct. 28 are now in stable condition, according to Wareham Police.

Officials first responded to the crash in between the entrance of Wareham Lake Shores Community and 7-Eleven at approximately 9:20 p.m.

Wareham Police said the initial investigation indicates the crash occurred after a 39-year-old Wareham man driving north on Glen Charlie Road entered the opposite lane and struck a car driven by a 63-year-old Wareham man.

The 39-year-old and his passenger, a 33-year-old woman, were transported via helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition. The 63-year-old man was taken to Tobey Hospital with “serious injuries,” according to police.

Police noted that a dog traveling with the 63-year-old was also injured and taken to a veterinarian from the scene by a member of the man’s family.

The identities of those involved in the crash will not be released.
