Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce hosts guest speaker Wendy Murphy
The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce is hosting guest speaker trial & appellate attorney, author and television legal analyst Wendy Murphy, J.D. on Wednesday, May 25 at 8am at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School, located at 220 Sandwich Road, Canalside Dining Room, Bourne.
Wendy is a nationally recognized television legal analyst who has worked for CBS, Fox News, CNN and MSNBC. She appears regularly on network and cable news programs and has written numerous articles for major newspapers. She is a former prosecutor who specializes in the representation of crime victims. She was appointed Mary Joe Frug, Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at New England Law, Boston in 01-02 and served as a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School in 02-03. She now teaches at New England Law where she also directs the Sexual Violence Legal News and Judicial Language projects. She founded the first ever volunteer legal advocacy program for crime victims and has been providing pro bono representation since 1992. She serves on several boards and has published many law review articles related to interpersonal violence and the criminal justice system.
Her first book, "And Justice For Some", was published in September 2007 by Penguin Group.
The tickets cost $15 and must be purchased in advance. A full breakfast will be served.
