Esther Rogers, 95

Esther S. (Sempos) Rogers, 95, of Plymouth, formerly of Wareham, died Dec. 5 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – Plymouth unexpectedly. She was the wife of the late Clesson “Minnie” Rogers.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Evangelos and Constantina (Droukas) Sempos, and moved to East Wareham as a child.

Mrs. Rogers worked as a clerk for the A.D. Makepeace Company, then for Adams and Gould Lumber Company, before working as a bank teller and customer service representative for Sandwich Cooperative Bank.

She was a member of the Wareham Emblem Club, and enjoyed traveling.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by her son, George Rogers and his wife Jo Ann of E. Sandwich; three grandchildren, Jenae Dalbec, Julie Perkins and Jill McLean; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, the late Chris Sempos.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, (Route 28), Wareham on Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m.
