Frederick Clairmont, 81

Frederick Walter Clairmont passed away on Jan. 20 in Wareham after a long illness. He was born in Brockton on July 21, 1936 to Frederick E. and Margaret Dorgan Clairmont.

Fred lived in Brockton for most of his life and worked 30 years in food service at the Brockton VA Hospital. He married his beloved Margie in a ceremony officiated by four priests in 1987, and the two of them relocated to West Wareham upon his retirement. He loved the beach, arts and crafts and traveling and taking long drives with his wife. He especially enjoyed their travels to Hawaii, Florida, Las Vegas, and Cape Cod.

He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret G. Kasica Clairmont at home, stepdaughter Marianne Sciucco and her husband Louis and daughter Allison, of Middletown, New York; stepsons Victor Kasica of Berkeley, Jeffrey Kasica of Braintree and his daughters, Avery, Alexa, and Victoria, and Kenneth Kasica of Carver.

He is predeceased by his brothers Edward, Robert and George Clairmont.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 26 in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Brockton.
