Margaret A. Golemo of East Wareham passed away Jan. 16 from a long battle with cancer.

She was born April 10, 1927. She was the daughter of Manuel Grassie and Mary E. (Sousa) Grassie of Onset. She was born in Dighton and is survived by her twin sister Ann Raymond of Wareham. Along with her eight surviving children and their spouses: Donna and Joseph Mattos of Arizona, Pamela Douglas of Onset, Donald and Susan Douglas of Mashpee, Michael and Karen Douglas of Danville, New Hampshire, Steven and Maria Golemo of Wareham, Cindy and David Rice of Plymouth, Lisa and Scott Ward of Pittsfield, New Hampshire and Robert and Paula Golemo of Merrimack, New Hampshire, 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by Joann Hardee of Modesto, California, Karen Leary of Florida and Colby Golemo of Merrimack, New Hampshire.

The funereal service will be Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham. All are welcome for the calling hours 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Followed by a short Mass at the funeral home and the burial at the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
