Dorothy V. (Brown) Cahoon, 97, of Wareham, died Jan. 21 at her granddaughter’s home in Little Compton, Rhode Island. She was the wife of the late Robert Nelson Cahoon.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Ann Rose (O’Brian) Brown. Mrs. Cahoon worked as a secretary for many years in the health care field.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah A. Cahoon Didick of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and her granddaughter, Erika C. Brien of Little Compton, Rhode Island.

Her funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham on Monday, Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham.
