College credit options for high schoolers to be explored on Feb. 8

Wareham students interested in finding out more about earning college credits while still in high school are invited to a series of informational sessions, set for Feb. 8 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Three options will be explored that night: advanced placement classes, dual enrollment and the International Baccaluareate program. Each option provides opportunities to better prepare students for college, according to school officials.

Advanced placement night is set for 6 to 6:30 p.m. Information on dual enrollment, which allows students to take college courses while in high school, is from 6:30 to 7 p.m. The school’s International Baccalaureate program will be discussed from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

All sessions take place in the high school.
