A 54-year-old Wareham woman was one of two drivers who were seriously hurt in a head-on collision in Carver on Feb. 10.

Police said the Wareham woman, whose identity is not being released, drove her car, a 2008 Nissan Maxima, across the center line near 77 Tremont St. at approximately 3 p.m. She crashed into a Lexus SUV that was driven by a 65-year-old woman from Carver.

Both were removed from their cars by Carver firefighters. One woman was taken to a Weymouth hospital and the other was transported by helicopter to different hospital for treatment.

Officials did not release additional information regarding the victim’s conditions.
