Not your average chicken dinner!! Instead have some fun along with a fine meal all while supporting the Wareham Firemen's Association's Scholarship Fund!

On March 24, at 6 pm, a CHICKEN BAKE & SURPRISE AUCTION will be held at Redmen Hall, Main Street, Wareham.

The fun part comes with the Surprise Auction. Attendees should bring an item which may be new or re-purposed. Wrap it in the Sunday comics, or whatever you have on hand, then put it in a gift bag, or disguise it in some manner, so the bidders won't know what they are bidding on! The Association respectfully requests that the item be worthy of someone taking it home at the end of the night.

Tickets are only $20 each and include salad, half a barbecue chicken, potato, vegetable, rolls, butter, coffee and dessert. Tickets must be purchased by March 17 and can be obtained by calling Howie Smith at 508-295-4679 or Missy Bourne at 508-295-6534. NO tickets will be sold at the door.

All proceeds will benefit the Association's Scholarship Fund. Scholarship applications are available at the Wareham High School Guidance Office.
