Mildred E. Taylor, 86, of Buzzards Bay, died Feb. 26 at Royal Cape Cod Nursing Home in Buzzards Bay.

She was the wife of the late Ronald S. Taylor and the mother of the late Mildred “Chickie” Taylor.

Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Henry R. and Mildred E. (Hathaway) Tingley. Mrs. Taylor moved to Buzzards Bay in 1968 and worked as a clerk for Capeway Cleaners in Buzzards Bay. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and being near the ocean. Known for her generous and giving heart, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda May of Taunton and her husband David; three grandchildren, Jessica De Young and her husband Adam, David May II, and Courtney Shinost and her husband Frank, and two great-grandchildren, Molly and Charlotte DeYoung.

A graveside service will be held on March 16 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne at 11:15 a.m.
