Donald Urquhart, 80

Donald J. Urquhart, 80, of Onset, formerly of Billerica, died March 5 at home. He was the husband of Shirley (O’Hara) Urquhart and the son of the late Fraser and Nellie (Wilton) Urquhart.

He was born in Boston and grew up in Watertown. He then lived in Billerica before moving to Onset. He graduated from Watertown High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Urquhart was the president of Custom Chemical Company in Billerica for many years before retiring.

He was a member and past commodore at Point Independence Yacht Club. He enjoyed boating and golfing. He was 50-year member of the Pequossette Masonic Lodge in Watertown and a member of the Aleppo Temple Shrine in Wilmington.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley (O’Hara) Urquhart; two sons, Scott Urquhart of Onset and Roderick Urquhart and his wife Mary-Jo of Burlington; a daughter, Heather Ogonowsky and her husband Richard of Centerville; a brother Ewen Urquhart and his wife MaryJane of Bedford; a sister, Mary Yankowski and her husband George of the Villages, Florida; four grandchildren, Kerri and Kevin Urquhart, Lauren and Olivia Ogonowsky. He was the brother of the late Robert and Fraser Urquhart.

Visiting hours are from noon p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 followed by a service at 3 p.m. at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham.
