Dorothy M. Donahue, 79, died April 8 at The Tremont Healthcare Center in Wareham. She was the wife of Edward J. Donahue, Jr.

Born in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Lopes) Defina. Mrs. Donahue graduated from Waltham High School and the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. She worked as a secretary for Hewlett Packard in Waltham, and as administrative assistant for The Andover Companies. She retired in 2001 and moved to Wareham from Andover.

Mrs. Donahue was a member of the Wareham-New Bedford Lodge of Elks # 73, where she was named Elk of the Year for 2004 – 2005. She also enjoyed bingo.

Survivors include her husband, Edward; her brother, Joseph Cincotta of Framingham; her niece, Diana Soave; her nephew, Joseph Edward Cincotta, and many great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham on Saturday, April 14, at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
