Wareham Police arrested five people this past week on heroin charges after receiving complaints about drug dealing in a convenience store parking lot.

Two men, David Daggett, 31, of East Wareham, and Carlos Gonzalez, 30, of East Wareham, were arrested on April 5. On April 11, two men, John Sulfaro, 29, of Onset, Ronald Cappola, Jr., 23, of Plymouth, and one woman, Rachel Silva, 21, of Kingston, were arrested.

All were arrested following police surveillance of the 7-Eleven on Barker Road in East Wareham.

Police said on April 5, detectives saw Daggett and Gonzalez meet in the parking lot and then enter the woods behind the store to conduct a suspected drug transaction. Both then entered a car, which was searched and found to have what police believed to be heroin. Daggett was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance (heroin) and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act. Gonzalez was charged with the same.

On April 11, detectives were again conducting surveillance and observed what appeared to be a drug transaction involving three people in two cars. A search of the cars uncovered what appeared to be heroin, Suboxone and $1,568 in cash.

Sulfaro and Cappola were both charged with possession of a Class A substance (heroin) and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act. Silva was charged with possession of a Class B substance (Suboxone) and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act.
