Douglas H. Marsh, 71, of East Wareham, died Feb. 8 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. He was the husband of Camie R. (Barton) Marsh.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Dorothy Gibbs (Brolund) and Fred G. Marsh.

Mr. Marsh was dispatcher for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation District 5 in Taunton for many years. He also served as a call firefighter on the Onset Fire Department. Mr. Marsh was a longtime volunteer for the American Red Cross, New Bedford and Cape Cod chapters and enjoyed collecting model fire trucks.

He is survived by his wife Camie R. Marsh of E. Wareham, and his son, Michael Marsh.

As a tribute to his service on the Onset Fire Department, a graveside service will be held on Friday, May 4, International Fire Fighters Day, at Centre Cemetery, Wareham at 1 p.m.
