Open House at the Capt. John Kendrick Maritime Museum

Jun 21, 2011

The Wareham Historical Society is pleased to announce that the Capt. John Kendrick Maritime Museum will be open to the public on Sunday, June 26th, between 1pm and 4 pm. We invite you to come see this wonderful house which has been the home of many significant Wareham residents in addition to Capt. John Kendrick. Some of these people have included Silvanus Bourne, Capt. Alden Besse and Charles Sidney Raleigh (the maritime painter).

There will also be a special exhibition of a wonderful collection of Wareham memorabilia, including many photographs of past Wareham residents, which has been generously loaned to us by George C. Decas.

The author of the book, "Morning of Fire" about Capt. John Kendrick, Mr. Scott Ridley, will be there signing copies of his book. So please join us for a chance to view this wonderful and historic Wareham resource.
