Selectmen on Tuesday approved the annual Senior Citizens Tax Work-Off program, ongoing now until Oct. 31.

The program enables seniors to write off a maximum of $500 off their taxes by working in various town departments. There are 35 positions available and seniors qualify on an income-based, needs-first basis, although applicants must be capable of doing the required work.

Applications can be picked up at the Selectmen’s office in Town Hall, located at 54 Marion Road. For more information, call the Selectmen’s office at 508-291-3100.
