George LeBlanc, 71

George LeBlanc, 71, of Middleboro, died May 16 at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. He was the husband of Nancy J. (Giangrande) LeBlanc.

Born in Fitchburg, he was the son of the late Gerald J. and Delia (Duval) LeBlanc.

Mr. LeBlanc graduated from Fitchburg High School, Class of 1966, then enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served from 1966 to 1968. After his military service, Mr. LeBlanc became a master electrician, and was wiring inspector for the Town of Wareham for many years. He retired in 2003. After his retirement, he worked for Home Depot in Taunton.

Mr. LeBlanc was a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors and was founder of the Cape and Islands chapter. He was also a member of the Charles W. Moore Lodge A.F. & A.M. of Fitchburg. He enjoyed gardening and making toys and knives.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy J. LeBlanc of Middleboro; his children, Tobey LeBlanc and his wife Wendy of Taunton, Torrey LeBlanc of North Carolina, Ryan LeBlanc and his wife Barbara of North Carolina, Kasey Resendes and her husband Bart of Ohio; his step-children, Jack O’Brien and his wife Dawn of Swansea, Joseph O’Brien of Middleboro, and Scott O’Brien and his fiancé Danielle Quinn of Middleboro; his brother, Robert LeBlanc and his wife Tracey of New York; 16 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived his dog “Shadow”.

Relatives and friend are invited to visit on Tuesday, May 29, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. followed by interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
