Virginia Cambra, 62

Virginia M. “Vici” Millette Cambra, 62, of Onset, died May 17 at her home after a brief illness. She was the wife of Lawrence Mark Cambra.

Born in Manhattan, she was the daughter of the late Muriel Elizabeth (Myer) and Henry Rene Levesque. A graduate of New Bedford High School, Class of 1974, she worked as a correctional officer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She retired in 2017 after 27 years of service from the Massachusetts Alcohol and Substance Abuse Center in Bridgewater.

She was a member of the Lakeville Eagles Aerie 3994, enjoyed shopping, the beach, attending concerts and bird watching. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she also enjoyed visiting King Richard’s Faire with her family every year.

Survivors include her husband Mark Cambra; her daughters, Misty Millette of Wareham, Chelsea Millette and Sherry Millette both of Smyrna, Georiga; her step-son, Nolan Cambra of Bristol, Rhode Island; and her grandchildren, Justin Millette of Wareham, Asia Duarte of Smyrna, Georgia and Ryan Delgado of St. Petersburg, Florida.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, June 9, at the Middleboro Lodge of Elks, 24 High St., Middleboro from 1 to 6 p.m. Please bring your favorite dish and share your stories of Vici.
