Patricia A. “Pat” Evans, 89, of Parkwood Beach, Wareham, passed away June 10 at Wareham Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Irvin D. Evans. Pat was born in Dorchester, the daughter of the late Francis “Frank” and Elsie (Hood) Fraher Sr.

Pat was retired for many years and had spent her working years as a bookkeeper. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, reading and bike riding throughout the neighborhood. She was involved for many years with the Parkwood Beach Association. Pat was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister.

She is survived by her children: Timothy C. Evans and his wife Lynne of Wareham and Pamela Evans-Fleming of Wareham. She was the grandmother of Sarabeth Morrell, Benjamin Evans, Christopher Evans and Jared Evans. The great-grandmother of Steven, Hunter and Brooke Morrell and Taya and Alyssa Evans. She was the sister of David Fraher of Bridgewater and Thomas Fraher of Alaska and the late Mildred Deagan, Dorothy Donahue, Frank “Bud” Fraher Jr. and Katherine Fraher. She was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and neighbors.

The family wants to thank her Gardonia Street neighbors for looking out for her and for all of the love and support they gave her over the past years.

Mrs. Evans funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 18, at 10 a.m., in Saint Patrick’s Church, 82 High St. Wareham. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend and to please arrive at the church by 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice.
