Wareham Police made two arrests on June 18 for OUI charges, one of which involved an Onset man allegedly driving with three small children in his car.

James Minta, 46, has been charged with operating under the influence of liquor, child endangerment while operating under the influence and operating after suspension.

He was arrested after police responded to the Lakeside Trailer Park around 5 p.m. Upon arrival, Sgt. Peter Flannery said he found Minta with three children inside of his car. Minta failed field sobriety tests, police said. The children in the car were uninjured and the Department of Children and Families has been notified.

The second arrest occurred shortly after 7:40 p.m. when police responded to a report of property damage on Barker Road. Officers said they found Raymie Jean Farrell, 44, of East Wareham leaning against a damaged truck with branches sticking out of the tailgate in a nearby driveway. When Officer Michael Phinney approached Farrell, she said she had been drinking and crashed into a tree.

Farrell was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
