Wareham Police recover $465 worth of merchandise from alleged shoplifter

A suspect who tried to evade police by changing his outfit has been charged with shoplifting, third offense, authorities said.

Tyson Borges, 32, no address available, was arrested on Friday, June 22, in the Aldi parking lot after allegedly stealing $465 worth of merchandise from Walmart.

According to police, Borges left the Walmart parking lot in a Nissan Altima, which officers located across the street at Aldi. Borges had removed a long sleeve shirt in an attempt to change his appearance, police said. After an investigation, officers determined Borges was the suspect and arrested him.
