Summer of Love concert series rocks Onset

Jun 27, 2018

The Paradise Rock Band took the stage in Onset on Wednesday, June 27, kicking off the Onset Bay Association's annual Summer of Love concert series.

This is the 11th year the series has taken place, and according to Executive Director Kat Jones, it's one of Onset's most popular events.

"Last summer we had a thousand people at almost every show," Jones said. "We're hoping that momentum carries over."

The classic rock cover band from Falmouth played songs from Steve Miller, Talking Heads, The Grateful Dead and more. The last time the Paradise Rock Band played Onset was in 2013.

They stepped in last minute to cover for the band Tattoo Cowboy, which cancelled due to an ill band member.

"We were really scrambling," Jones said. "But Paradise Rock Band came through for us."

The free concert series will now run every Wednesday in Onset through August 29. Shows start at 6:30 p.m. and WCTV will be livestreaming each performance. To watch, visit www.warehamtv.org.

Streams will be replayed every Saturday at 7 p.m.
