Wareham based JR Legion Post 220 Team recently captured the District Championship over Hanover Junior Legion in a decisive match, 9-1

Brendan DaSilva of Fairhaven got the win. Sam Parks of Marion and Orlando Guadalupe of Wareham were the constant spark plugs of the offense, Head Coach Gary Gallagher said. Tom Coucci of Rochester pitched two shutout innings and had three solid hits to keep rally innings going.

Gallagher has lead the team the past two years with regular season records of 14-2 and  15-1.

The team consists of players from Marion, Mattapoisett, Rochester, Fairhaven, Wareham and New Bedford. Team members include: Tom Coucci of Rochester, Nick Figlioli of  New Bedford, Bryan Gallagher of Wareham, Joe Grygent of Bourne, Orlando Guadalupe of  Wareham, Aaron James of Wareham, Nate Kvilhaug of Mattapoisett, Sam Parks of Marion, Dalton Pinto of Mattapoisett, Bryson Ulhman of Wareham and Jared Westgate of Wareham.

Post 220 Jr Legion Team is a recruiting effort by Gateway Babe Ruth. All the players were Gateway Babe Ruth players and most were on the 2017 Babe Ruth State Champion Team.
