A public meeting to discuss Wareham’s Master Plan will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7 in the Town Hall Auditorium starting at 6 p.m.

The meeting will seek input from residents regarding how they feel the Master Plan has worked in its first year. Namely, officials want to know if people have read the plan, what they think should be incorporated, and what they feel should be done to implement those ideas.

Officials will also review some of the highlights of the plan and a recent survey.

A Master Plan addresses a community’s goals for land use, housing, climate change, economic development, services and facilities, transportation, open space and recreation and natural and cultural resources. Having a master plan in place means town officials can work from a shared vision for the community and makes the town eligible for certain state grants.
