Swift’s Neck Beach closed due to high bacteria levels

Swifts Neck Beach was reopened on July 10.
The Wareham Board of Health has announced that Swift’s Neck Beach will be closed until further notice. Water samples taken on July 2 and July 3 did not meet sampling requirements. Due to the high bacteria levels, swimming is not advised and may cause illness. Sampling will resume on July 9.
It is safe to swim at Swifts Beach and Hamilton Beach.
